How We're Different

      Most non-medical home care companies provide much needed relief to seniors that are having difficulties taking care of themselves and providing for their own basic needs. They may offer 24 hour live-in service, financial management, personal hygiene care, and meal planning - all valuable services for those that need them. Their skilled and compassionate caregivers act much like personal attendants.

We're more like a combination of  personal assistants and handymen. 

Helping Hand In-Home Services realizes that there is a very large group of seniors that have little need of such intensive personal care. They are generally healthy and able to take good care of themselves. What they need help with are the bigger things - the household jobs that require the hefting, hauling, and sweating. 

Typical home care providers don't attempt the big stuff (see a list of our services). Then again, there are several important services that we don't provide, either. 

At Helping Hand In-Home Services, we DO NOT help clients with:

	Personal care – bathing, hygiene, changing clothes
	Financial assistance - bill paying, balancing check books, banking
	Medical assistance - medication reminders, etc.
	Meal planning or routine meal preparation

Other than these, we're open to whatever you might suggest. Just ask us. If it's doable, we'll do our best to get it done for you. If we can't, we'll help you find reputable contractors and companies that can. In the event that you need the kind of  intensive personal attention listed above, we will be happy to refer you to a qualified and reputable home care company.
